Benchmark began as a creative partner to a large US retailer, embedded inside Asian print supply. Two decades later we still sit at that intersection — close enough to the press that we see proofs the same hour they come off, close enough to the brand to own the file that goes on it.
Benchmark Design was founded in 2003 to solve a practical problem: retailer-side brands needed the cost advantage of Asian manufacturing without giving up the color discipline and turnaround of a North American studio. We put the studio where the presses are.
We've since grown into a network of offices and production floors across Dongguan, Ho Chi Minh City and Bentonville, Arkansas — along with extended operations into Cambodia, Indonesia and Myanmar. The work has evolved from pure artwork adaptation to a full production stack, but the original promise hasn't: be faster than the brief, be stricter than the spec, and don't invoice for the difference.

Our studios are minutes from our printing partners. Approvals happen standing at a light booth, not on a Zoom call the next morning.
The same team that adapts your artwork calibrates the press proof. Handoffs between disciplines don't exist here — they're the same person.
Urgent requests processed in hours — not days — because our time zones already cover yours. No premium, no on-call fee.
